Oct 12-13
Ring in the season with Fall festivities geared toward kids. Hay rides, a petting zoo, and a costume parade for children are some of the featured activities. A food and wine tent will also be set up for adults to imbibe.
Oct. 18-20
Get loud at the library! The LB Roxx Festival is an annual rock music concept that showcases a variety of musicians in the genre. It’s free and always a good time. See this year’s lineup.
Oct. 25-27
Enjoy drinks, raffles and sweets while you compete with others to solve a muder mystery! The suspenseful event from the LB Historical Society plays for three nights – admission for non-members is $35. See details.
Nov. 9
Come support the community with a night of live music at Junction Live Music Sports Grill in Long Beach. Jah Stix, Outcast and Phoenix are the featured acts. No cover, donations accepted. Live music from 6-9 pm. See event page.

Honor our veterans with an observance ceremony a 10:30 am in City Hall. The ceremony is the community's way to publicly thank the many veterans who have bravely served.
Nov. 24
Lace up your sneaks – it’s time for the annual Turkey Trot! Now in its 15th year, the event begins with registration from 6:30-8 am at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School gymnasium at 735 W. Broadway in Long Beach. One Mile Children's Race begins at 8:30 am and the 10K Race begins at 9 am. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to benefit those in need.

Dec. 6
‘Tis the season! Beginning at 4pm, enjoy local vendors, hot chocolate and cookies under a tent in Kennedy Plaza before the annual tree lighting ceremony.
Dec. 7-8, 14-15
Shop unique gift items at the Vintage Holiday Boutique, sponsored by the Long Beach Historical Society. Browse local vendors, which will set up at the House at 226 W. Penn St. from 10 am to 4 pm.
Dec. 7
The 6th Annual Jingle Bell 5K Run for Toys for Tots is a fun run for a good cause on the Long Beach boardwalk. Registration begins at 4 pm at the VFW, located at 675 W. Park Ave. in Long Beach. The race begins at 6 pm; shuttle buses will bring participants to and from the boardwalk. The fee is $25 before December 6 at 3:00 p.m., $30 day of race.
Dec. 7
The Joint Veterans Organization of Long Beach will honor the soldiers, marines and seamen who lost their lives in Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. The ceremony will take place at 11 am at Veterans Park (LB Ice Arena if inclement weather).
Dec. 22-31
Celebrate Chanukah with the Beaches Jewish Community and the city with the first Menorah lighting on Dec. 22 at 5pm in Kennedy Plaza. Enjoy the Great Chocolate Gelt Drop, hot potato latkes, jelly donuts and coffee. Following lighting times vary – refer to the schedule.
